Sunimal Fernando is a logistics expert with over 20 years at Emirates SkyCargo and dnata Cargo. He led cargo operations at Dubai International Airport, managing over 900 staff and 2.2 million metric tonnes of cargo annually. Sunimal was key in achieving 99% compliance and implementing major system upgrades, driving efficiency and growth in global cargo logistics. He also played a pivotal role in the design and expansion of critical facilities, ensuring seamless operations during a period of rapid growth. His strategic leadership and focus on continuous improvement have made him a respected figure in the industry.

As former Vice President of Cargo Revenue Optimization & Control Centre at Emirates Group, he led cross-functional teams, driving process improvements and achieving corporate revenue goals. Sunil excels in strategic planning, business optimization, and data-driven decision-making. He recently served as a consultant for IBS Software Pvt Ltd., leveraging his industry expertise to enhance digital solutions for airlines and freight companies, focusing on revenue management, capacity control, and pricing.

He has a proven track record in operations management, process optimization, and cost reduction, delivering efficient, cost-effective solutions while ensuring excellent customer service. As a former Cargo Operations Duty Manager at Emirates SkyCargo, Vijayakumar oversaw hub operations, achieving maximum capacity utilization and leading recovery efforts from operational disruptions.
